COMPULSORY BASIC
TRAINING WILL BE INTRODUCED SOON |
It is likely
compulsory training will be introduced soon, with little or no prior
warning to the general public, for all riders obtaining a first learner
permit. If you are thinking of getting a permit then you should do it
now and complete voluntary training, avoiding the requirement to
complete a compulsory training course before you can ride on the road.
This course is likely to be set at 16 hours at a likely cost of up to
1000 euro. |

LEGAL
REQUIREMENT FOR ADI PERMIT FROM 1ST MAY 2009 |
As of the 1st May 2009 all
instructors wishing to charge for motorcycle lessons and
assessments must be Road Safety Authority ADI permit holders.
This is to ensure that all instructors have been tested and have
shown their ability to instruct to a standard required by law.
It is illegal for any person to charge for lessons without this
permit. All current MRTG instructors are fully qualified and
their permit numbers are displayed on this web site and
available for inspection when you arrive for a lesson. |
